2024-25 pledge campaign

An annual congregation-wide pledge campaign is conducted during which each member is asked to make a financial commitment to keep UUFCO and its ministries and programs thriving.

During these challenging times, we understand that Stewardship may look very different for each of us. Unique times bring unique opportunities, and we are excited to see how our fellowship is adapting, growing, and moving forward.

Q.  What is the Annual Pledge?
A.
Your pledge is a commitment of financial support. Pledges may be made as an individual, couple, or as a family.  A Pledge is a promise to pay.

Q.  When is the Annual Pledge Campaign?
A.
The Campaign is conducted in February for the upcoming fiscal year beginning July 1st. The pledges made during the Annual Pledge Campaign let our Board know what financial support they can count on to adjust and finalize budgets for the upcoming fiscal year.  (Note:  The actual contribution- the giving of money you have pledged - begins on July 1st when the fiscal year begins.)

Q.  How much should I/we pledge?
A.
Your pledge can be for any amount you choose. We ask that you reflect on your commitment to UUFCO and our work in the world then choose an amount that feels right to you. The Fair Share Giving Guide may assist you in formulating the amount you wish to pledge. Suggested amounts are based on adjusted gross income and monthly contributions.

Q. What is the pledge goal for this year’s campaign?
A.
This year’s stewardship pledge goal is $520,000. In achieving this aspirational goal, we will strengthen our existing stellar programs, continue to lovingly care for our dedicated staff and building. Last year, we bravely and enthusiastically launched an expansive Listening Session Project to hear directly from you, our congregation, all your hopes, wishes and dreams for our future. A rich trove of stories emerged, and we find ourselves expanding our dream.

We heard the desire for more opportunities that nurture spiritual growth across generations.
We heard the want to empower our fellowship’s work for justice through impactful initiatives like Safe Parking and Nourish.
We heard the longing to create an ever wider and inclusive circle of belonging, connection, and community.
And we are prepared to lean with all our heart into every one of these ambitions.

Q.  How are my pledge dollars used?
A. Pledge dollars fund the programs that we value as well as the staff who support our programs:

  • Worship, Music and Ritual

  • Religious Education and Spiritual Development

  • Community Life

  • Social Justice

  • Wider Community Support

Q. What percentage of UUFCO’s income is composed of pledges?
A.
In recent years, pledges contributed between 70 - 75% of the annual income needed to sustain the operations and programs of our congregation.

Q.  How do I make a pledge?
A.
There are several ways to make an annual financial pledge.  In February, members receive a Pledge Card in the mail and a new pledge card becomes available online. A completed pledge card can be submitted in one of the following ways:

  • Through our website at the online pledge form (click the button above)

  • By email to UUFCO Bookkeeper at bookkeeper@uufco.org

  • By mail to UUFCO, 61980 Skyline Ranch Road, Bend, OR 97703

  • Drop off your pledge card at the fellowship kiosk anytime during pledge month

Q.  Do I have to make a new pledge every year even if I’m pledging the same amount?
A.
Yes. The Board needs to have updated pledge information each year in order to finalize the annual budget.

Q. How do I pay my pledge after July 1st?
A.
