SETUP FOR SUNDAY SERVICE

1. Arrive at the meeting place by 10:35 A.M. on all Sundays except discussion group Sundays. 

2. Get the big UUFCO sign and wooden holders from the closet and place outside by the SAC sign.  Place “tent” signs by parking lot and at corner of Franklin & Harriman.

3.  Hymnals are located in closet off sanctuary; place hymnals in every other chair (usually other folks pitch in and help with this).

4.  Chalice, matches, bowl of sand (to extinguish matches), chime, and weaving for lectern are all together on a shelf in the closet; arrange on altar (weaving pins to front of lectern).  (If necessary, remove SAC’s stuff from altar and place on floor behind altar.)

5.  Place collection baskets by pillar, left of stage as you are facing altar.

6.  Joys and Concerns candle holder is stored on the far left of the stage (as you face the altar); center it at bottom of stage stairs; put up one of the carpeted boxes (on stage behind altar) next to it, and place on it second box of matches and second sand bowl; check to see if any candles need replenishing.  Extras are in the closet.

7.  Check microphones for working condition........ (someone will help with this until we all get trained).

8.  After the service, pick up hymnals and stack on bookshelf in closet; return chalice, etc. to closet; put carpeted cube back behind the altar; return Joys and Concerns candle holder to far left of stage (as you are facing the altar); and, retrieve the sign and holders from outside and return to closet.  Leave the collection baskets on the altar; they will be picked up by Kathy Day, Administrative Assistant, and Kay Stein, Treasurer.
