WHAT IS A CIRCLE SUPPER?
A circle supper is a gathering of a small group of adults to
share food, fellowship and fun. It is a way to meet and get better acquainted
with other members and friends of our Fellowship.
Here's how it works: People
sign up to attend Circle Suppers and/or sign up to host a Circle Supper. The
hosts (single, couple or two singles) provide a place for the Circle Supper and are assigned four to eight people (depending
on the number they can accommodate) to invite to their supper. The host coordinates
which of their guests brings a main dish, salad, dessert or, perhaps, appetizers. The
host does not provide food for the meal, but does provide tableware and drinks of their choosing. The host may also suggest that guests could BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage).
We want to keep our Circle Suppers small and easy on our hosts. We
will give each host a simple list of guidelines. We’d like to let everyone
have an opportunity to be a host. And we’ll need five to seven hosts
each time Circle Suppers are held (on the same or adjacent weekends) in order to include as many of our Fellowship as possible. We hope to have three rounds of Circle Suppers before June if we can get enough hosts.
To participate in Circle Suppers, you don’t need to have a big house or cook fancy food.
It’s just an easy and fun way to get to know others in the Fellowship.
