On Sunday, June 29th, the whole congregation was invited to a beam signing and tour. There were only a few walls up, but it gave everyone an opportunity to begin to feel the spaces of our new home, and to look out onto our land from "inside." Each room had a poster with a brief description of the space, a diagram, fabric samples, and photos of furniture selected. We had the opportunity to suggest names of Unitarians,  Universalists, and Unitarian Universalists for each of the spaces. Finally, we formed a large circle in the sanctuary and sang our first songs there. A few days later, the beam we signed was lifted into the Starr King Corner, to be part of the structural support for the south wall. Hidden now, we know our names are there.
